Step into the ancient and mesmerizing world of lost-wax carving—where material and imagination come together to create something truly unique heirloom.
You will Learn how carve your ring from solid jeweler’s wax using an organic, sculptural approach—then you will lear how to set up to three diamond-cut cubic zirconia gemstones into the wax.
Your piece will be cast with the gemstones already set in place.
This is an advanced technique, rarely offered in a Level II beginner-friendly environment.
• Learn subtractive wax carving techniques and how to make an organic style ring.
• Sculpt your ring from hard jeweler’s wax
• Learn how to set up to 3 round cubic zirconia into wax and all the tricks needed in order to cast the wax with the gemstone in it.
• Prepare your piece for casting
Once your wax ring is complete, you will bring it to our trusted casting partner in NYC’sDiamond District, where it will be cast in your chosen metal:
brass, rose brass, white brass, or sterling silver
(Casting time: approximately 2–4 days)
• Work directly on your cast metal ring
• Learn essential metalsmithing finishing techniques
• Refine, polish, and complete your piece
You will leave with a fully professionaly finished gemstone ring.
Hosted at NYC Jewelry Lab, this workshop takes place in a fully equipped, professional jewelry studio in Williamsburg.

• Workshop consists of two sessions (3 hours each) held over two consecutive weeks
• Enrollment is strictly non-shareable, non-transferable, and non-refundable
• Due to limited capacity and high demand, aminimum of 72 hours’ notice is required to request rescheduling
• Approved reschedules are subject to availability and must be taken during the next scheduled workshop cycle
•Failure to attend a scheduled session without prior notice will result in forfeiture of that class
