Artist’s Statement:

This work prompts a dialogue between softness and strength, inspired by intricate details and adornments found on Romanian folkwear. Textile intimacy is translated into metal resiliency through cross-stitched brass, knit chain, and casted lace. By merging traditional crafting techniques of two disciplines, gestures shared between thread and wire express the enduring elegance of heritage, connection, and celebration.
